Having become a mother at a later age in life, I have experienced the deep longing for a family.  I understand the depths of emotion that many of us feel as we wonder if we will be able to become mothers and I treat my fertility patients with great compassion and skill.  While in acupuncture school, I sought out extra training in the field of fertility and women’s health and completed both of my theses in these fields.  I also had the pleasure of working as an herbal pharmacy assistant in the extremely busy and successful fertility clinic of Dr. Xie and completed an apprenticeship with another well-known fertility acupuncturist, Dr. Christina Jackson.

I do not simply apply a needle or herbal protocol to my fertility patients.  Rather, I dig deeply into your history to properly diagnose your condition.  For example, failure to conceive can result just as often from a condition known as ‘cold in the womb’ as it can from a condition such as ‘blood stasis in the lower abdomen resulting in heat.’  These conditions would be treated uniquely.

In my decade of clinical experience, I’ve worked with patients at many stages of their fertility journeys.  Some are just beginning to try to conceive and are hoping to optimize their health before trying.  Others have been trying for years.  Some are utilizing assisted reproductive technologies and others are using more natural methods.  Regardless of where you are on this journey, I am happy to meet you there with compassion and experience.
